Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or deductions.
• Calculate and submit payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Administer and track employee benefits such as health insurance, 401k, and other deductions.
• Prepare and distribute W-2 forms and other year-end payroll reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro) and timekeeping systems.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including wage and hour laws relevant to manufacturing.
• Experience with payroll general ledger reconciliation and month-end close processes.
• Ability to interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements or union contracts to payroll processing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) for payroll processing.
• Certification in payroll (e.g., FPC, CPP).
• Familiarity with union contracts and their impact on payroll in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI).
