Salary Range: $71,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Hart that are seeking Packaging Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain to ensure packaging meets product, brand, and operational requirements.
• Optimize packaging for cost-effectiveness, sustainability, manufacturability, and supply chain efficiency.
• Conduct packaging material selection, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues during production and throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications, drawings, and other technical documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development, engineering, or manufacturing within a high-volume production environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various packaging materials (e.g., plastics, paperboard, corrugated, films) and their properties, processing, and applications.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for package design, drafting, and analysis.
• Experience with packaging test methods (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and equipment for performance validation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment related to packaging lines.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for packaging design.
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices.
• Familiarity with packaging testing methodologies (e.g., ISTA, ASTM).
• Project management experience, including managing timelines and budgets.
• Certification in packaging (e.g., CPP) or related field.
