Salary Range: $82,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Develop and implement strategies for inventory management, including forecasting, stock optimization, and cycle counting.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Manage and optimize warehouse operations, including layout, material flow, and safety procedures.
- Lead and develop a team of materials planners, buyers, and warehouse personnel.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to ensure material availability and support production schedules.
- Implement and maintain robust material tracking systems and data analysis for continuous improvement.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives within the materials management function without compromising quality or service.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in materials management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of optimizing inventory levels and reducing carrying costs
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their application in materials planning
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with advanced materials (e.g., composites, superalloys) or specialized manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for supply chain optimization.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM).
- Demonstrated experience in implementing or optimizing ERP/MRP systems.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations and global sourcing strategies.
