Inventory Control Manager | Plainwell, MI

Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Plainwell seeking Inventory Control Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Oversee cycle counting and physical inventory processes to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
• Manage inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics to ensure efficient material flow.
• Implement and manage inventory management systems and tools.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of inventory control best practices, including cycle counting, ABC analysis, and demand forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.

Bonus Qualifications

• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish or Mandarin.
• Project management experience, especially with ERP or WMS implementations.
• Experience with automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) or robotics.
