Salary Range: $62,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of machinists, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machinery and conventional machine tools.
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure accurate part production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, optimizing processes for efficiency and quality.
• Perform quality inspections on finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Lead preventative maintenance and routine calibration of machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop new manufacturing processes and improve existing ones.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in precision machining, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Proficient in operating and programming CNC mills and lathes (e.g., Fanuc, Haas controls).
• Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code programming, as well as CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM).
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Expertise in selecting appropriate tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Proven problem-solving skills related to machining processes, quality control, and equipment troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming and simulation
• Certification in advanced machining techniques (e.g., CNC programming, lean manufacturing)
• Proven ability to mentor junior machinists or lead training initiatives
• Familiarity with quality control software and metrology equipment
