Incoming Inspection Technician | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allegan seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Document inspection results accurately in the quality management system, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Utilize various precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
• Initiate and process Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs) for rejected incoming goods and facilitate their disposition.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to resolve material quality issues.
• Maintain inspection equipment by performing routine calibration checks and escalating repair needs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized inspection area.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Proficient in using various measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM operation and/or programming.
• Familiarity with PPAP submissions and requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
• Prior experience in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
