Salary Range: $43,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Plainwell seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Verify that incoming materials meet specified quality standards, blueprints, and purchase order requirements.
• Document inspection results accurately in the designated quality management system or logbooks.
• Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective action processes.
• Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and improve material quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, adhering to safety protocols and 5S principles.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection
• Proficiency with various metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Bonus Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification
• Experience with various metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator, micrometers)
• Basic understanding of GD&T principles
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for transaction processing
