HR Generalist | Byron Center, MI

Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Byron Center that are seeking skilled HR Generalists. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer full employee lifecycle processes, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.
  • Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, conducting background checks, and preparing offer letters.
  • Administer benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
  • Process payroll inputs and maintain accurate HR records and HRIS data.
  • Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, and HRIS administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

Bonus Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze HR metrics and provide data-driven insights
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
