Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Manistee seeking Help Desk Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for manufacturing software and hardware issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to production machinery and control systems.
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution and maintain a knowledge base of solutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals on the factory floor.
• Assist with network connectivity issues and ensure reliable operation of manufacturing systems.
• Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT teams or external vendors.
• Provide technical support for mobile devices and specialized manufacturing equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and manufacturing-specific equipment.
• Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and their application in an industrial environment.
• Ability to provide technical support for common business applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a manufacturing context.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) or SCADA.
• Basic understanding of networking for industrial environments (e.g., EtherNet/IP).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices relevant to operational technology (OT).
