Salary Range: $129,000 - $180,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Lansing that are seeking skilled General Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to production targets.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for financial improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and supply chain to meet customer demands and achieve business objectives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations
• Proven track record in P&L management and financial acumen
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
• Experience with supply chain management and inventory optimization

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven track record of successful union negotiations and maintaining positive labor relations.
• Fluency in Spanish or another language relevant to the local workforce.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and manage enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP).
