Salary Range: $46,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Newaygo region seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, communicating with suppliers as needed.
• Generate customer invoices and credit memos, verifying pricing and terms.
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and manage collections.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, electronic payments, and manual checks.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and receivable.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems specific to manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Familiarity with the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles in a manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles relevant to manufacturing
• Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts with high transaction volumes
• Experience with inventory management and its impact on AP/AR
