Salary Range: $90,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Kalamazoo seeking Advanced Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and procedures.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action initiatives for complex quality issues.
• Utilize statistical methods and tools for process monitoring, control, and improvement.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects and enhancing product reliability.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and work with suppliers to improve their quality performance.
• Mentor junior quality engineers and provide technical guidance on quality methodologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949) and associated tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, 8D).
• Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement projects and driving root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
• Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Proficiency in using advanced metrology equipment.
