Salary Range: $60,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes for production runs.
• Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools to ensure quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including tool wear and program errors.
• Load and unload bar stock, ensuring proper material handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes (e.g., Star, Citizen, Tsugami).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tooling offsets, adjustments, and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming, with basic editing capabilities.
• Experience with in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for program generation or modification.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to machine operation and part quality.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks on CNC Swiss lathes.
• Experience with metrology tools beyond basic calipers/micrometers (e.g., optical comparators, CMMs).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
