Salary Range: $50,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Traverse City that are seeking EDM Operators. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
• Load and unload workpieces into EDM machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to set up EDM operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues with EDM equipment.
• Adjust machine parameters to optimize cutting performance and part quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience operating EDM machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
• Experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, depth gauges)
• Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
