Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Fremont that are seeking Design Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Designs and develops manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and equipment.
• Creates detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for components and assemblies.
• Conducts design reviews and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Performs engineering calculations and simulations to validate design integrity and performance.
• Identifies and implements design improvements to optimize cost, efficiency, and reliability of manufacturing processes.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, and operating procedures.
• Supports the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes and production systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
• Demonstrated experience with DFM/DFA principles and their application.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, machining).
• Experience with FEA simulations for design validation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software.
• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation or data analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) principles beyond basic understanding.
• A portfolio showcasing personal projects or contributions to open-source hardware/software.
