Salary Range: $67,000 - $101,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Traverse City that are seeking skilled Demand Planners. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for a portfolio of products.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development to gather market intelligence.
• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to improve forecast accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with supply chain to optimize stock.
• Identify and address significant variances between actuals and forecasts.
• Utilize statistical forecasting models and software to generate baseline forecasts.
• Participate in S&OP meetings to present forecasts and discuss demand plans.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Oracle Demantra) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with sales, marketing, and operations teams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, O9 Solutions).
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
• Strong data visualization skills and experience with tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Proficiency in statistical modeling or forecasting software (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
• Experience in a multi-site or global manufacturing environment.
