Salary Range: $67,000 - $100,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Ludington that are seeking skilled Cost Accountants. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard product costs.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and provide detailed explanations.
• Prepare cost of goods sold and inventory valuation reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost data.
• Participate in make-or-buy analysis and capital expenditure evaluations.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and track their implementation.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for production costs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
• Advanced Excel modeling skills, including Power Query and Power Pivot
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
