Salary Range: $64,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Walker seeking Cost Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard product costs.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and provide detailed explanations.
• Prepare cost of goods sold and inventory valuation reports.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost data.
• Participate in make-or-buy analysis and capital expenditure evaluations.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and track savings initiatives.
• Reconcile inventory sub-ledger to the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to cost accounting.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
