Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations on a wide range of manufacturing equipment and instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair calibration failures, identifying root causes.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
  • Develop and implement calibration procedures and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
  • Select, care for, and utilize appropriate calibration standards and test equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality management system requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, metrology, mechanical engineering technology).
  • 2+ years of experience in calibration, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and calibration procedures.
  • Strong understanding of measurement principles, uncertainty, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3).
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of test equipment and calibration software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for precision instrumentation.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements.
  • Familiarity with various metrology software and databases.
  • IPC J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs or adjustments to test equipment.
  • Experience with Gage R&R studies.
