Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Lansing seeking CMM Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement CMM programs for dimensional inspection of manufactured parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and quality requirements to create effective inspection routines.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final product validations using CMMs.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to ensure measurement capabilities meet product specifications.
• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to maintenance schedules.
• Generate detailed inspection reports and analyze measurement data to identify trends and potential quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
• Experience interpreting engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Familiarity with various CMM hardware and probing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot CMM programs and perform basic CMM maintenance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for model-based definition (MBD) or Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI).
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems.
• Ability to perform minor CMM maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., optical comparators, vision systems, laser trackers).
