Salary Range: $55,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Grand Rapids that are seeking CMM Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute CMM programs for dimensional inspection of manufactured parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to create accurate inspection routines.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing CMM programs and measurement processes.
• Calibrate and maintain CMM equipment, probes, and fixtures.
• Analyze measurement data and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize inspection methods and improve product quality.
• Support production by providing timely and accurate measurement services.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and application.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with various CMM hardware platforms and probe systems.
• Demonstrated ability to develop efficient and accurate CMM inspection programs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) beyond basic model viewing.
• Proficiency in a secondary programming language or scripting (e.g., Python, VBA) for data analysis or automation.
• Demonstrated ability to train or mentor junior CMM operators/programmers.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and its application in manufacturing.
• Experience with vision systems or other non-contact metrology equipment.
