Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Hart that are seeking skilled CNC Lathe Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for lathes using CAD/CAM software.
• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and part models to determine optimal machining strategies.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices based on material and part geometry.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect and correct potential errors and optimize tool paths.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Implement and adhere to safety protocols and quality standards in all programming activities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM).
• Strong understanding of tooling selection, cutting parameters, and material properties.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and use of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize existing CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software beyond basic G-code generation.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and measurement tools (CMM, gauges).
• Strong understanding of different materials and their machining properties.
• Prior experience training or mentoring junior programmers.
