Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Cadillac that are seeking skilled CNC Mill Programmers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines.
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure efficient and collision-free operation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to optimize machining processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issues on the shop floor.
• Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for programming best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM) for generating G-code.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for CNC milling operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with various tooling, fixturing, and workholding methods for CNC mills.
• Knowledge of different materials (e.g., aluminum, steel, plastics) and their machining properties.
• Proven ability to optimize machining processes for efficiency, quality, and material removal rates.
