Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for lathes using CAD/CAM software.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining processes.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and inserts for various materials and operations.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance and efficient tool paths.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CNC programs to improve cycle times and part quality.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve programming and manufacturing issues.
• Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
• Demonstrated experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit, GibbsCAM) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and metrology.
• Ability to select appropriate tooling, workholding, and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Experience with part setup, tool offsets, and proving out new programs on CNC lathes.
• Knowledge of machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for CNC turning centers.
