Salary Range: $48,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Traverse City region seeking Bookkeeper / Office Managers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close procedures.
  • Maintain general ledger, process journal entries, and ensure financial data integrity.
  • Oversee office operations, including supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor relations.
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks, such as onboarding, payroll processing, and record management.
  • Provide administrative support to the leadership team, including scheduling and document preparation.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and/or other ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with payroll processing and related tax filings.
  • Proven ability to manage office operations and administrative tasks.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory management and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Proven ability to implement and improve office management processes for greater efficiency.
  • Experience with HR support tasks, such as onboarding and benefits administration.
