Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive First Article Inspections (FAI) according to AS9102 or customer-specific requirements.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Utilize precision measurement equipment, including CMM, optical comparators, calipers, and micrometers.
• Document all inspection results accurately and thoroughly in FAI reports and associated records.
• Verify product conformity to all specified dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.
• Identify, document, and report non-conforming conditions and collaborate on corrective actions.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated expertise in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, CMMs).
• Proven experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 or equivalent industry standards.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and their application in manufacturing.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills for generating accurate and detailed FAI reports.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced GD&T certification (e.g., ASME GDTP)
• Proficiency with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001 quality management system principles
