Salary Range: $48,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise and train shipping and receiving associates, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Manage inventory levels within the warehouse, coordinating with production and procurement.
• Ensure proper documentation, labeling, and packaging of all outgoing shipments according to company and carrier standards.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries, optimizing transportation costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipments, inventory, or warehouse operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably within manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and shipping software.
• Strong understanding of shipping regulations, documentation, and logistics best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, and operate material handling equipment safely.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) beyond basic data entry.
• - Forklift certification and experience operating various types of forklifts.
• - Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles as they apply to inventory flow.
• - Familiarity with international shipping documentation and regulations.
• - Proven ability to train and mentor junior warehouse staff.
