Quoting Specialist | Allegan, MI

Salary Range: $57,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allegan seeking Quoting Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer RFQs, blueprints, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing teams to gather accurate cost data for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Develop detailed, accurate cost estimates for custom manufacturing projects.
• Prepare and submit professional, competitive quotations to customers within specified deadlines.
• Utilize and maintain quoting software and ERP systems for efficient quote management and record-keeping.
• Follow up on submitted quotes, address customer inquiries, and negotiate terms to secure orders.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities related to project scope, material availability, and production capacity.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in quoting, estimating, or a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Proven proficiency in cost estimation, including material, labor, and overhead calculations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in numerical calculations and documentation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Technical understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, or engineering drawings.
• Experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software.
• Proven analytical skills for pricing optimization or cost analysis.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
