Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for all manufacturing and administrative employees.
  • Manage and reconcile complex time and attendance data from plant timekeeping systems.
  • Calculate and process various pay components including overtime, shift differentials, and production bonuses.
  • Ensure accurate deduction and remittance of all payroll-related taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Prepare and submit all required federal, state, and local payroll tax filings and reports.
  • Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and time off in a professional manner.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and FLSA.
  • Experience with time and attendance systems and calculating complex pay structures like shift differentials and overtime.
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Familiarity with payroll processing for multi-shift operations, piece-rate pay, or unionized workforces.
  • Experience with time and attendance systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., Kronos, UKG).
  • Basic understanding of labor cost accounting principles relevant to manufacturing.
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll.
