Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration of precision measuring instruments and equipment.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured components using various metrology tools.
  • Document and maintain accurate calibration records and measurement data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with measurement equipment or processes.
  • Analyze measurement results and generate detailed inspection reports.
  • Support engineering and production teams with metrology expertise and data.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and metrology best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality, Machining, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges).
  • Demonstrated ability to read and accurately interpret engineering blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Hands-on experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or advanced vision systems.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, calibration processes, and data analysis for measurement results.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Advanced programming experience with various CMM software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., MiniTab, SPC).
  • Experience with 3D CAD software for model-based inspection and fixture design.
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements for calibration laboratories.
