Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for assigned materials, components, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to ensure a robust and competitive supply base.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance, addressing quality, delivery, and service issues to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure material specifications meet manufacturing requirements.
• Implement strategies for inventory optimization, balancing material availability with working capital objectives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement and inventory management.
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills to secure favorable terms and build strong supplier relationships.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory control strategies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or engineering drawings.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPSM).
• Proficiency with advanced ERP procurement modules (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Fusion).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent process improvement certification.
• Fluency in a second language relevant to international supplier bases.
• Experience utilizing data visualization tools for spend analysis (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
