Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate laser welding processes for various materials and applications.
- Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot laser welding systems, including robotics and vision systems.
- Conduct metallurgical analysis and root cause analysis for weld defects, implementing corrective actions.
- Design, qualify, and implement welding fixtures and tooling for precision assembly.
- Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions and control plans.

Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial laser welding process development, optimization, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in laser physics, beam delivery systems, and material interactions during laser welding of various metals and alloys.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and continuous improvement methodologies for weld quality and yield.
- Familiarity with various industrial laser types (e.g., fiber, YAG, CO2) and their integration into automated manufacturing cells.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with robotic integration for automated welding processes.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency in advanced metrology techniques for weld characterization (e.g., optical profilometry, CT scanning).
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, C#) for data acquisition or analysis.
