Salary Range: $59,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of machinists, providing technical guidance and support.
• Perform complex machine setups, programming adjustments, and troubleshooting for CNC and manual machinery.
• Ensure all machined parts meet quality specifications through inspection and process adherence.
• Develop and implement efficient machining strategies and process improvements to optimize production.
• Conduct regular training sessions for junior machinists on equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to minimize downtime.
• Oversee adherence to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in precision CNC and manual machining, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment, including team coordination and training.
• Expert ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM) for multi-axis machining.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes, metrology, and inspection tools (e.g., CMM, micrometers, calipers).
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills for optimizing machining processes, reducing scrap, and improving efficiency.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CAM programming (e.g., 5-axis, complex surfacing).
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in metrology equipment beyond standard hand tools (e.g., CMM operation).
• Experience in fixture design or process improvement initiatives.
