Key Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust press machinery, dies, and tooling according to production specifications.
• Operate presses to produce parts, monitoring machine performance and output.
• Perform quality checks on finished products, ensuring adherence to blueprints and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or production issues.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from the press.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of press equipment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., punch, brake, stamping).
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment and performing minor adjustments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to quality control standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification or experience
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen)
• Basic welding or fabrication skills for minor repairs/modifications
• Experience with CAD/CAM software for program review or minor adjustments
• Ability to train new operators or assist with onboarding
