Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding operations according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including arc, MIG, TIG, and spot welders.
  • Inspect welds for defects such as porosity, cracks, and incomplete fusion.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Document welding processes, materials used, and quality checks.
  • Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve welding issues and improve processes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary welding certification or associate's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a welder or weld technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of welding safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to perform quality control inspections and identify weld defects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
