Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new product introduction.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) feedback to design teams.
  • Specify, procure, and qualify new tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Lead pilot production runs, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and control plans.
  • Monitor initial production yields, troubleshoot process issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Supply Chain) to ensure successful product launches.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial).
  • 3-5 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering within a production environment.
  • Proven ability to apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Experience developing, optimizing, and validating manufacturing processes for new products.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixturing, and process controls.
  • Knowledge of quality methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, and Lean manufacturing principles.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience developing automated assembly or test solutions.
  • Proficiency with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD).
