Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and optimizes packaging solutions for new and existing products.
• Selects appropriate packaging materials based on product protection, cost, and sustainability.
• Conducts rigorous testing and validation of packaging designs to ensure performance and compliance.
• Identifies and implements cost-reduction initiatives for packaging materials and processes.
• Collaborates with manufacturing to integrate packaging effectively into production lines.
• Ensures all packaging designs comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and customer requirements.
• Develops and maintains detailed packaging specifications and technical documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD) for packaging design.
• Strong understanding of various packaging materials (e.g., plastics, paperboard, corrugated) and their manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with packaging testing methodologies (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and quality control standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Experience with automated high-speed packaging lines.
• Proficiency in packaging simulation software (e.g., CAPE, TOPS).
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for material master data management.
