Salary Range: $49,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Verify incoming material against purchase orders, engineering drawings, and quality specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance, rejection, and detailed measurements.
  • Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming materials, initiating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
  • Maintain organized and accessible records of all inspection activities and material dispositions.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and engineering to resolve material quality discrepancies with suppliers.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify non-conforming materials.

Bonus Qualifications

  • CMM operation or programming experience.
  • Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems for material transactions and non-conformance reporting.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
  • Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) comprehension.
