Salary Range: $50,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the shipping and receiving departments, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage and train shipping and receiving personnel, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving, storage, and dispatch procedures.
• Coordinate with production, logistics, and customer service departments to meet shipping deadlines.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols within the shipping and receiving areas.
• Manage shipping supplies, equipment, and inventory levels, initiating reorders as needed.
• Resolve discrepancies, damages, or shortages in shipments, initiating claims when necessary.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse software.
• Strong understanding of shipping regulations, documentation, and logistics.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Certification in Forklift Operation or equivalent.
• - Familiarity with warehouse management system (WMS) software.
• - Basic understanding of inventory control methodologies.
