Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC Swiss lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using various measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Load raw material stock, unload finished parts, and manage chip removal.
• Make necessary offset adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms or operational issues.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines, such as cleaning and lubrication.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, G-code, and M-code.
• Skilled in performing tool changes, offset adjustments, and basic machine troubleshooting.
• Adept at using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) for in-process quality inspection.
• Ability to maintain tight tolerances and ensure part quality according to specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with G-code programming and optimization for Swiss lathes.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of cutting tool selection, geometry, and application.
• Familiarity with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
