Salary Range: $51,000 - $81,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment, including wire and/or sinker EDM.
• Load, edit, and adjust NC programs and machine offsets to achieve specified part dimensions.
• Monitor EDM process parameters, electrode wear, and workpiece quality throughout machining cycles.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of EDM machines.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and G-code to ensure accurate part production.
• Maintain accurate production records, including cycle times, scrap rates, and quality checks.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (2+ years preferred) operating and setting up EDM machines (Wire, Sinker, or Hole-Popping).
• Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving machine or process issues.
• Basic understanding of G-code and CNC machine controls for program loading and parameter adjustments.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an apprenticeship in machining is highly desirable.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for interpreting or minor program adjustments
• Proficiency in G-code editing for machine optimization or troubleshooting
• Familiarity with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills for machine maintenance
