Salary Range: $49,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment, including wire and/or sinker machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining operations.
• Program EDM machines using G-code or CAM software to produce precision parts.
• Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of EDM machines and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or programming errors.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and G-code for part specifications.
• Proficiency in setting up, loading, and unloading parts, electrodes, and wire accurately.
• Competence in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) for quality inspection.
• Understanding of EDM process parameters and ability to make adjustments for optimal performance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for EDM programming
• Proficiency with precision metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
• Background in tool and die making or mold making
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance or minor troubleshooting on EDM machinery
