Quality Technician | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $39,000 - $62,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Conduct various tests on materials and products using calibrated inspection equipment and laboratory instruments.
• Document inspection and test results accurately, maintaining detailed quality records and logs.
• Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and products, initiating non-conformance reports.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support corrective/preventive actions.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance checks on inspection and test equipment.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
• Familiarity with quality control methodologies such as SPC and root cause analysis.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite for data entry and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ certification (e.g., CQT, CQI)
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
• Experience with CMM programming or operation
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab)
• Knowledge of advanced problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA)
