Salary Range: $127,000 - $177,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Paw Paw that are seeking skilled Controllers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of financial statements.
• Manage cost accounting functions, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Lead the annual budget process and provide ongoing financial forecasting and analysis.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business growth and profitability.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification preferred
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Proven experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team
