Salary Range: $63,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Jenison seeking Cost Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard product costs.
• Analyze manufacturing variances and provide detailed explanations.
• Prepare cost of goods sold and inventory valuation reports.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes with cost data.
• Participate in make-or-buy analysis and capital expenditure evaluations.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
• Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• CMA certification or progress towards is a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
• Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain complex financial models
