Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for lathe operations.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining processes.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
  • Optimize toolpaths, feed rates, and spindle speeds for efficiency and quality.
  • Perform simulations and make necessary program adjustments to prevent collisions and ensure part accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs on the machine and in the office.
  • Document program changes, setup sheets, and operational procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficient in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
  • Demonstrated experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
  • Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, and cutting parameters for various materials.
  • Experience with part setup, offsets, and first-piece inspection on CNC lathes.
