Salary Range: $45,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Montague that are seeking skilled CNC Machinists. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations and sequences.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Troubleshoot machine alarms, adjust offsets, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and materials based on job specifications and material properties.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficient in setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
• Experience with various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Knowledge of different metal properties and cutting tool selection.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality control standards.
