Salary Range: $46,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Muskegon that are seeking skilled Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, communicating with suppliers as needed.
• Generate and issue customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging, contacting customers for timely payment collection.
• Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile cash receipts to the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable and receivable.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or receivable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Certification in a relevant area (e.g., Accounts Payable Specialist, Certified Bookkeeper).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Basic understanding of international trade and foreign currency transactions.
