Salary Range: $61,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to optimize cost and quality.
• Issue purchase orders and manage their lifecycle from creation to delivery and payment.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to ensure timely material availability.
• Resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality, and delivery discrepancies.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the procurement function.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing functions.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
• APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
• Project management skills
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Ability to speak multiple languages, particularly those relevant to the supply chain (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish)
