The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Mason seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize costs and lead times.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure material availability and quality standards are met.
• Manage purchase orders from creation to closure, including tracking and expediting as needed.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products, and industry trends.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve supplier performance issues, including non-conformances and delivery delays.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably within manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing and inventory management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and make data-driven decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) for procurement and inventory management.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and their application to supply chain.
• Proven track record of successful negotiation with international suppliers.
